Solidago, winter
Solidago sp., Zerynthia polyxena
Many different plants grow in my small Moscow garden and solidago is among them. This beautiful strong plant decorates shady areas of my garden, coloring shadows with golden and yellow tones. Last autumn, I broke my hand and was unable to clean up my garden and to cut the dry solidago buds off before winter. But every cloud has a silver lining. Snow covered ground and graphic, clear and wonderfully elegant solidago buds became frozen in snow, as if on white paper. It was just impossible for me to pass up such beauty.
