Born and raised in the midwestern US and currently living in Colorado, Mary has studied botanical illustration at the Denver Botanic Gardens, School of Botanical Art and Illustration (Certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration, with Distinction), with the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, and with renowned botanical artists worldwide. She is an active member of the ASBA (Green Committee member), the Association of Botanical Artists (Education Team member), and the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists, as well as being a Fellow member of the Society of Botanical Artists. Working in watercolor, colored pencil, and graphite, Mary’s artwork has been shown in juried exhibitions in the US and UK and has been awarded the SBA Certificate of Botanical Merit.
