FATIMA ZAGONEL
Born in Brazil in 1954.
Licentiate in Languages Portuguese and English and Post Graduated in Publicity & Advertisement.
Worked as a graphic designer for about 20 years before becoming a botanical artist.
In May 1999 won the Margaret Mee Foundation Fellowship and was instructed by Christabel King at the Royal Botanic Gardens / Kew / England for 6 months.
Today mainly dedicates to Scientific Illustrations, but without forgetting the commercial artwork.
Founder Associate of the Botanical Illustration Center of Paraná – CIBP (2000), accredited by Margaret Mee Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, and botanical art teacher in this institution.
Member of the National Union of Scientific Brazilian Illustrators since its foundation in 2006.
Her works are part of renowned collections of Botanical Art,such as of

Hunt Institute for BotanicalDocumentation, Pittsburgh/USA;
